Hotel New York is one of the must see places in Rotterdam. The building is one of the oldest buildings in town and is also known as the previous head office of the Holland America Line. Hotel New York is a hotel and restaurant in one. The hotel has 72 unique rooms with two special rooms which are located in the two towers of the building. Every room has a differen interior, the only thing they have in common is that every room has a piece that dates back to the time that the Hotel New York was still the head office of the Holland America Line.

Restaurant

In which restaurant in Rotterdam you can eat and drink better than at Hotel New York? On the ground floor there is a large café-restaurant with a capacity of 400 guests. Thanks to the wide à la carte menu, our guests can eat extensively or simply, in all price ranges and from early in the morning until late in the evening. High ceilings, colorful lamps, sturdy ship elements and robust pipes and pillars characterize the unique atmosphere of the restaurant, where there is always a pleasant atmosphere.

Restaurant Loetje started around 40 years ago as a billiard café. The owner Ludwig “Loetje” Klinkhamer then decided to add a tenderloin steak to the menu which changed the whole future of the café. The café transformed into a very successful restaurant with as specialty the tenderloin steak. The staff won’t ask you how you would like to have you steak cooked, the chef decides how to prepare your steak in the best way to make the flavours memorable (if you don’t have your own preference of course).
